NYDA is a topical revolutionary treatment indicated for eradication of head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis). Extremely safe to use, it penetrates deeply into the tiniest parts of the lice, larvae and also the egg’s breathing system, replacing the air, and therefore provoking death in all three stages, from eggs to adult lice.
Head lice infestations are a significant problem encountered by families around the world. Persistent itching, the main symptom associated with head lice infestation, is triggered by head lice sucking blood several times a day, during which they inject an anticoagulant saliva into the scalp. After initial infestation, it can often take up to several weeks for the immunologic reaction to appear. First of all, red papules become visible on the scalp, which may be followed by nettle-like reactions.
Advantages & Treatment
The effectiveness of NYDA is based on the product’s unique physical mode of action. As opposed to the pesticide treatments on the market, the “point of attack” of this mode of action is the insect’s respiratory system. The unique physical properties of NYDA, including the viscosity and slow spreading properties of the solution, allow the product to readily flow into the breathing system of all developmental stages of the insect, thus leading irreversibly to the insects suffocation and death. Extensive clinical data supports the efficacy of NYDA which has been reported to reach 97.2%, thought to be the highest of any product presently commercialized in Canada.
How-to & Format
NYDA is simple to use as its 50 ml pump spray bottle allows the formula to be distributed easily, so that the hair is completely covered. After a waiting for 30 minutes combing is recommended. Wash the hair with any regular shampoo and use the comb to remove any dead lice, larvae or dead eggs (nits). The lice comb is especially designed with a 0.2 mm gap between its teeth, so that it may catch the lice, eggs and dead nits.
